Message	well, used some fine grit (400?) paper to gently make things as smooth as possible and then spray painted with a flexible stain spray paint. Really need to tape well to avoid sanding damage to other parts. Came out decently OK - something to try?..... If the windshield top molding is really bad - probably time to consider replacement glass. When I had mine done they used a much wider molding - looks good too.
